Web Control not working

Post by PlasmaPower »

It keeps reloading the page every second or so, and dosen't seem to keep my identity, despite having it on my Advanced Control settings.

It's also not folding no matter if I put it on idle or when it's always on.

Okay, the browser issue is resolved, however, it still dosent display the project I'm contributing to in the web control menu, and it isn't displaying if my cpu and gpu are doing anything. They just keep standing by, never seeming to get a connection. This also happens in advanced control.

I'm having the same issue where my chrome browser keeps flashing/ reloading every second. Nothing is updating, however, my computer is folding and it's showing that in the Advanced Control page of the program. How did you fix this problem?

Please consult the FAQ to fix the problem.

It's happening to me a lot though. Once a day I need to hard reload the page.

Same as LiquidShadow and PlasmaPower, except the browser didnt fix itself. Changing to a new browser "fixes" it, until it eventually starts doing the same thing. So far, Chrome, Brave, Edge Chromium all do it. Note: Firefox behaves properly, so this appears to be a Chromium-related bug.

Have you tried the workarounds posted in the FAQ? Link in post by toTOW a few posts before this.

Having this same issue. Web Client is not displaying projects. As a matter of fact, it's not even folding...and I tried the workarounds in the FAQ

Some of the newest projects may be missing a description, or a link gets messed accidentally when changing other settings related to a project. So for those the Web Client will not be displaying projects.

Most of the workarounds are to keep Web Control from continuously refreshing, so that people can use it to set up their client. Though even now, there are so many requests for work assignments that you may have to wait a while before getting one. If the wait between retries on getting a WU get too long, more than a 2-3 hours, you can use Pause and then Start after waiting a minute.

If you have questions on whether your client might not be set up right, first try searching to see if someone has posted about a similar issue, and see if it applies to your setup. If not, post here with information about your system.
