We always shut down our computer at night when we go to sleep. For some reason, this happened to me when I shut down the computer last night. Btw, this is on an AMD X2 @2.6Ghz rig, not my rig in sig.

So any reason why I would've gotten this error? I searched up the CoreStatus 63 code and I think it shouldn't apply to me since I was turning off the computer and not changing the MPI code or anything, whatever that is.

I read somewhere that one cause of the "Error starting Folding@Home core." message is a problem getting enough memory. Do you have a limited paging file? Did you start some other big program about that time? (We used to call this error "Unable to Allocate")

The system was shutting down. No large programs would have been starting. CoreStatus = 63 (99) is typically a permissions problem that indicates the SMPD service could not start. In this case, it looks like the SMPD service shut down before the client was ready for it to be shut down.

First time I've see that error at client shut down instead of client start up.
