Got this WU today ... number of steps looks strange ... running fine so far ... could this be a bad WU?

Good catch - that does look rather odd. The p2669's I've folded have all had 250,000 steps.

I'll report this to the project owner (who is out of town for a few days). Meanwhile, would you try something? Stop Folding, then trash the work folder containing the records of this unit Then restart Folding. This should force your client to download a new unit -- and since your queue.dat is intact, the unit you'll probably get will be the same one over again. It will be useful to know if the new copy has the same number of frames as the old copy.

When we first started seeing instances of WU in odd lengths, a couple of months ago, we reckoned the bad ones were issued bad from the server. However, just recently, we saw one that completed at the proper length for one donator but showed up as an extra-long unit for another donator. If you can download a new copy of this WU at the proper length (or another with an odd length) that may tell us something about the source of the problem.

Same number of steps (379998) ... this WU has the unitinfo.txt too large issue as well ... thought this was fixed with the latest A2 core?
