No statistics - is it working? Hi-jacked software?

The system is running (can see in the logs) and uses almost 80% or resources and 95% of graphics RAM, so much that I have to quit FAH as our system just hangs. I have let the FAH run for days at a time but the stats say it has done nothing. Is the system working or not? If I can't get an answer to this I'm removing the software as it is so intrusive on the systems operation.

I'm wondering if there is a problem with the software as it takes over the whole system. How safe is this software, can it be hi-jacked by other operators?

I am running Windows XP Pro, quad 3.3 processors on a XW8200 server with ATI HD2400PRO pn PCIe (256mb)

It appears that since you pause the work and/or shut down the computer for a time, the GPU client cannot meet the deadlines. Therefore, the Work Units have been abandoned before they complete. The GPU and SMP client deadlines are much tighter than the normal CPU client deadlines.

Depending on your graphics use on the machine, the GPU client may also be the cause of the lockups.

If you want to continue Folding, I recommend you uninstall the GPU client and instead run anywhere from 1 to 4 normal CPU clients. The CPU Console client run as a Service is often the cleanest way to do this. Once you get 1 client running successfully, you can add more (up to 1 per core, for a total of 4 in this machine) as desired. Thanks. I think I'll try that as it seems that the system which is used for video editing and encoding for DVDs just clogs up when F@H is running. Any idea why the stats show 0 completed yet the logs show that it has completed (not the logs posted) but older logs.

If the log states completed units, look for the line -results succesfully sent or -thanks for your contribution. If they aint there, no completed work units have ever been uploaded.

No one can take over that fah client. It uses encryption, and only communicates with specific authenticated Stanford servers. Read the Security statements in the FAQs.

The only way someone can take over the fah client is if they can walk up to your computer, and start typing to change your fah configuration. However, if they can walk up to your computer and change things, you have a much larger problem than worrying about fah, because the last thing they would care about is changing your fah settings.

As for completed work units, I don't see any for "europacific" Are you sure you used this same name for each of your clients? Check what the starting paragraph of each fahlog.txt files says for your fah user name.
