Hello,

Am have some problems with the 2526 job. Yesterday (Sunday Feb 15th), I did a few software updates on my Windows XP machine (monthly Windows security patches/updates, ZoneAlarm, Spybot, Google Earth, malware scans, minor file cleanup work). In the process, I removed the FAH from my Start/All Programs/Startup directory, so FAH would not automatically start until I was sure the computer was back up and stable. I made a mistake and removed the FAH entry, but apparently put another one in its place.

So when restarting the FAH to resume job 2526 (which was only about 2 percent done), the program apparently lost it and reloaded it and restarted it. Upon making copies of the FAH log files for another problem which apparently is not a big issue, I stumbled upon the problem that the new FAH process was running under an Anonymous user!! So I changed it back to my user name of Robby and team number of 39299, the job went from 74 percent completed under the anonymous user, back to only 2 percent that it was yesterday before the software updates.

Is there a way to allow my Robby user name to 'acquire' the work done by the so-called anonymous account on this platform, so it will not have to refold all of that work all over again?? Edit your shortcut, and put C:\Documents and Settings\Robby\Application Data\Folding@home-x86 in "Start in" field.

Hello toTOW,

The new short cut did not work, it just picks up where it left off with the Robby setting. The job is now around 42 percent completed under the Robby account. Is the anonymous crunching on job 2526 still there, or did it get erased?

Update:

This job unfortunately crashed about 45 percent of the way completed under the Robby account, with the results being turned in as noted below. However, my 'anonymous' account successfully finished this same project to around 74 percent. If I could pick up that one and continue, it would be nice.

We were doing lots of work on the machine earlier, mainly word processing with WordPerfect and some Internet browsing with Firefox around the time of the below crash. As I posted separately, am not over-clocking on this machine at the moment.

You should uninstall the client, remove any remaining files, and make a clean install to avoid conflict between different folders.
