Welcome to the foldingforum, IceMan62.

The real question is why you keep running the same WU over and over. You'll only get credit for it once.

Hi IceMan62 (team 70911),
Your WU (P6900 R19 C0 G15) was added to the stats database on 2010-12-28 06:06:01 for 6720.51 points of credit.

Let me guess saved the file at around 70% then crashed Stanford sent the same WU to you again. Deleted the new one started the saved one finshed the file on 12/28 at 6:06 light bulb goes off in head started the saved file again complete it, another light bulb run it again. Oooops that did not work too well, wasted computer time, complaine about not getting points. Just 1 possibility.

thanks for this information, that the Wu was sent to the server. Why the Points are not correct, maybe you can tell me that. HFM.NET show me for the Wu 6900 Credit Points from ~87500 and over 52000 PPD. The Wu was finished long in front of the Deadline (the TPF was a little under 23:00). This problem with correct finshed BigWu´s and no points for it is for me not the first time. Sometimes i become over 24h later only the 8955 ground points (and no total Credit points from over 85000). So I`ll you tell why i send this last BigWu 6900 three times.
For some weeks I have a lot of Blue Screens and lost some BigWu´s (one of the Memory was demaged). Some of the Project was over 90% and after the restart from the PC and the Folding program the program was loading a new Project - it was missing the Project with over 90%. So befor this was happend again I`ll save the complete smp Client files. So I save each work for the time if I become problems again and know I see the WU was finished but no points for it. Not after 9h or 12h. I think somethink was wrong with the Server or the connection (upload) and I load a save from this WU to be become the correct points and not to be become the points 3 times!

Best regards

According to the Project Summary, project 6900 has a Preferred Deadline of 4.00, the baseline points are 8955.00, and the KFactor is 26.40. All bigadv WUs are a challenge to complete and hardware MUST BE STABLE. The large KFactor puts a large emphasis on finishing the WU as rapidly as possible.

HFM.NET and other 3rd party tools do their best to estimate how many points you will receive when a WU is completed. Actual points are accrued based entirely on the information that the server receives, which may include information that HFM.NET cannot know. HFM.NET and other tools assume that you'll finish the WU successfully (which did not happen) and that the current rate of production will be continued up to 100% and that the result will be successfully uploaded soon thereafter.

In your case, the WU was processed the first time and had some sort of error when it was about 75%. I have no way of knowing what that error was, but if you have FAHlog.txt or FAHlog-Prev.txt covering 2010-12-28 around 6AM PST which would be around 2PM UTC, we might be able to figure out what kind of error occurred. As long as you've reported Blue Screen (BSOD) errors , however, there's probably no reason to do that. Whatever is causing the BSOD errors MUST be corrected.

After that error, you did receive partial credit for the WU and FAH would have deleted the WU and downloaded a new WU. You must have restoring a backup copy of data for that WU from another source and either tried to reprocess it or tried to resubmit it. Manipulating the files that FAH creates is not a good idea. It is specifically prohibited by the EULA, but if you do it anyway, you're very likely to receive zero points for your efforts -- and that's apparently what happened here.

What happened to the next WU that was assigned? Next time something like this happens, let the system work on the assignment that you've been given and don't try to reprocess the earlier WU.

Your BSOD errors are probably caused by a hardware problem, (including things like overheating as well as faulty hardware). For more information, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bsod

The BSOD come from a bad Memory and I change it for 2 Weeks - from this time no more BSOD. I find something in the FAHlog-Prev.txt and I remember there was a problem with the Folding@home-Win32-x86.exe. There come a message like "16bit software can not run under 32 or 64bit OS. Please check your OS". Here what I found in the Log

I think the Folding@home exe was crashed and I have to install the Folding client again. From there up the Client was running fine and the next Project (6900 R8-C4-G15) where I become on 29.12.2010 01:35 UTC (finished on 30.12.2010 22:43 UTC) was finished with 53066,6 PPD. For the future I let the system work and if I find something is wrong I´ll correct it here a little earlier.
Best regards
