8.3.5, Failed to prevent sleep:

Post by promeneur »

I get this error during fah-client start.

04:53:58:E :Exception: Failed to prevent sleep: Permission denied

Two days ago, when fah-client started for the first time, I also got this error.

It seems each time fah-client start this error occurs.

Keep awake is not yet supported on SUSE.
It is being worked on.

I think it also does not work with some window managers. I don’t know the details.

Compile from source. RPM will have a polkit rule for that.

Keep awake works, but GNOME integration is lacking. Once the inhibitor is released, GNOME will not restart the auto-suspend timer if system is idle.

I did not test with other desktop environments.
