Hi,

F-secure Antivirus apparently has blacklisted foldingathome.org and subdomains like client.foldingathome.org, assign1.foldingathome.org etc.

I'm not sure if this is due to discovery of malware on any of those sites, or that some malware might be folding without permission, and thus foldingathome.org being mistaken as a malware distributor.

This block caused my Windows PC machine, which uses F-Secure SAFE, to stop folding because the assignment servers were blacklisted. I submitted them as false positives to F-secure, after running a malware check on them (nothing found), and whitelisted them on the PC, so it's folding again. But it might be a good idea for the website team to get in touch with F-Secure and find out why foldingathome.org got blacklisted.

Many security suites are known to cause more issues than those they solve ...

Since some teams pay out cryptocurrency for folding, even if it's not officially supported by Folding at Home, there is a risk that so-called "cryptojacking" malware might fold for one of the crypto teams. It's perhaps not the most profitable way for malware creators to make money, but it is a non-zero risk.
