My 2-year anniversary of folding

I am pretty happy with the results.

I started Jan 31, 2021. I am 2nd on my team, and 101st overall. Just added another 3080Ti a couple days ago, and have a 4080 coming I hope to get online this weekend. That will be: 4080, 3090Ti, 2x3090, 3x3080Ti in total for about 55M PPD I think.

I have completed 38,801 WUs and 14.93B points. I should have added that 3080Ti a couple months ago when I got it and I would have made it into the Top 100. Oh well.

I am glad F@H is available. Happy to contribute to the research.

Congrats!

Folding is rather addicting for some reason. I started not much before you, March 2020 (when Covid went splat on the spinning fan). Found myself progressively getting more and more hardware, then selling those to get better hardware :)

Your almost into the top 100... Hang in there!

That's quite a bit of hard ware running, enjoy.

I have been folding for 14 years, mostly on old laptops.

While no where near your other stats, I am near 185,000 WUs.

Thanks all. I am extremely fortune to have had (well, still have for another 10-15 years hopefully) a successful career… this is a way to give back and hopefully help researchers find breakthroughs.

Compliments.
I started from 2000 at the beginning of the project. I'm a little older now.

Finally got the 4080 folding. Ended up not replacing my main system's 3090Ti as planned (too much hassle) and just used it in the a new 12700F build.

Added 4090 and 4070Ti to the mix this afternoon. Need to find new home for the 3090Ti and 3080Ti they replaced now. I had to use the "support strap" from the 3090Ti for the 4090, so will need to find one of my 3080Ti's that has a brace in the case, cause it has to have something. I tried having the 3080Ti in with the 4070Ti on the 9900X system but kept getting Windows crashes with 0x...010e which is "Video Memory", so guess Windows doesn't like two cards or 4-series and 3-series don't mix or something. I had similar problems trying to run two cards before on that system though... so who knows. It's an Open Bench system so easy to swap/add cards.

Maybe I'll build another open bench and try and try to get Linux going again with the 3090Ti and 3080Ti. I need to switch all my but my main gaming system where the 4090 is to Linux anyway so I hear to get the best PPD. Someday...

I would suggest you do something quickly with those extra gpus. Being in the top one 1000th of a percentile is just kind of...meh.

Seriously though, I'm glad there are people like you who dedicate so many resources to the cause. It adds up to a lot more science, and the efforts are appreciated by many of us I'm sure.
