This morning we lost cooling services for 206.223.170.146 (fah1) and had to urgently shut it down to prevent overheating. We'll have it back up again as soon as possible.

It seems like 206.223.170.146 is still down currently. None of our PC can connect to it, and F@H keeps trying over and over again to no avail.

Edit : It's been resolved or it was a connection issue. It seems like it does send new work units from time to time. It may take up to 20-30 minutes to do so, but it's working.

The server may be having issues with temporary overloads. Currently GPU projects are in short supply, the other server with an active GPU project recently completed its runs and they are being checked to see if enough data was collected. There are some GPU projects in the pipeline, but not ready to be released. So it should improve in the near future, but not sure if that is days or a couple weeks.

They should be looking at the server, it is currently listed as down.

Thanks for the heads up Joe_H. Is there any way to temporarily remove a work server from our list so that it stops requesting from it when it's down and try another server instead?

The AS shouldn't be sending any requests to the server when it is down. If you have any examples of that still happening now I can forward them to the person in charge of the assignment servers to see what is going wrong.

You are right. The client paused itself after 10 minutes or so of tries. After that, it simply unpaused as soon as the server was ready.

Not sure what is going on there, I have sent a message to the person who looks after it. Its uptime is listed as 11 days, but sometimes can not connect to the server and at times it shows as down.

Allright. Thanks Joe_H. We eventually get assigned to another server after 30 minutes or so since the "last contact" (according to the server stats), so it's not too bad.

Researcher was recovering space by compressing older completed projects. That finished by yesterday evening so should no longer be effecting the server.
