Stats server issue?

Post by aetch »

Very simple basic question, is there an issue with the FAH stats server? It doesn't seem to be updating or responding to queries.

After putting in the PRCG at https://apps.foldingathome.org/wu, I get the following message -- Error: MariaDB: Failed to connect: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2).

We are having DB troubles at F@H today. Points reporting will be delayed and web apps that rely on the main DB will offline until we get this sorted out.

I'm still working on this..

Latest report I have seen was posted on the F@h twitter, they have to replace a failed drive on the system the stats database is hosted on. Haven't looked to see if there is a more recent update, this was posted earlier this morning.

Appreciate the info and the heads up - I'm guessing this will be a quick/simple fix and the system will be back online Monday or Tuesday, assuming this isn't some "exotic" drive.

Restoring data structures and catching up data backlogs whilst ensuring data integrity is not necessarily a quick/simple fix tbh and add the complications of physical environment and access controls along with conflicting/competing priorities on techs/devs time and time to resolution becomes interesting. This issue could be resolved in the next hour or could take days/weeks - hopefully it will be sooner rather than later but patience and not holding breath is probably a good thing

Oh that server looks beautiful!

But I can't see my stats. This page is blank: https://stats.foldingathome.org/donor/P ... bczu2EgFyR - I tried Opera, Edge, chrome, and Firefox.

Try clicking on the link for the "classic version" of the stats page and entering your user name there. I think this might be yours - https://statsclassic.foldingathome.org/donor/597859326

Thanks. Two questions.

How do I get a history of my WUs?

How come your links worked but mine didn't? I clicked on my account name in the advanced FAH control.
