Hi,

In the couple months I folded over 150M credits with an RTX 3070, but now...

Could you provide the PCI device ID for the 3070. It is possible an edit to the GPUs.txt file inadvertently altered or removed the existing entry, and just needs to be fixed up.

That would be it. Take a look at your current copy of GPUs.txt, it should have this line in it:

Code: Select all

0x10de:0x2484:2:8:GA104 [GeForce RTX 3070]

If it doesn't, delete your copy and restart your system to pull down a new copy. That should fix things up.

If not, may need to look into this a bit further.

My version of GPUs.txt does have that line (local modify time 2021-06-03).

Extra information, not included in the logging:
Windows 10 Home 20H2, build 19042.1052 (Dutch)
I updated the nVidia drivers to 466.77, didn't help
Windows Defender, no additional firewall / virus scanner
Last WU returned, folded using this GPU: 2021-06-13 (p18202, r16550, c4, g5)
Last Windows update installed on 2021-06-12

Hmm, definitely a head scratcher. For some reason the client did not read that entry and use it for ID'ing the 3070 at startup. I haven't seen that before, perhaps someone else has in the past and has a fix.

Well now... Fully uninstalled FAH (including removing data), updated Wintendo (it's a nice gaming platform after all) to 21H1, rebooted several times during all that, reinstalled FAh, and guess what... the rig is folding again, on both CPU and GPU.
