New rtx 2060 mobile gpu

I've been trying to get my new Lenovo Legion folding on its Rtx 2060 GPU, and I think I may have figured out that my machine's specific GPU isn't in the GPUs.txt (assuming the device id in lspci should be matched in gpus.txt).

Here's the entry in lspci:

0x10de:0x1f55:1:0:0:NVIDIA Corporation:NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060

There's no entry in GPUs.txt that matches the 0x1f55 device id.

Is this GPU unsupported, or can it be added to the GPUs.txt file? Thanks in advance.

Presumably this is the device that 1f55 points to. https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/g ... 2060.c3310

I've added it at your request and moved the thread to the right forum.

You might want to delete the GPUs.txt file and restart the client to provoke a download of the new updated file.

What's so new about this GPU that it got a new identifier? Any different from other 2060 mobile chipsets?

Thanks again. New GPUs.txt this morning, and my 2060 is now enabled. Says it's "Paused:waiting for idle", so I imagine I should avoid the temptation of tooling around and looking at settings.

Idle detection is a bit hit-or-miss, especially in some Linux versions. You can remove the "On idle" setting to allow it to fold while you're using the machine. Especially for Covid Moonshot work, which has short deadlines, you might not be able to finish work on time if you only fold while "On idle".
