Need more GPU Work Units.

Was wondering if an assignment server went down or something, because my GPU's are no getting new work units.

Yea, that server appears to have bit the dirt. Just quit and restart the application and it will usually switch servers. Just did that with mine and off and running again.

The researchers are aware of this and are enabling new GPU projects/ adding new simulations.

Two out my three GPU PCs were stuck, a reboot solved both.

Sometimes a few mouse clicks to reboot the computer will work faster than throwing a temper tantrum.

No, I've gotten frustrated enough when important work on my system comes to a screeching halt, where I have lost my temper--and have started from scratch w/re-installing software.

Sorry for the confusion.... I just try to be more civilized here. Though it might be time for me to gently shut my systems off for a couple of hours (after completing the WU's in progress), and give them a little bit of preventative maintenance (in order to keep me from doing emergency maintenance).

I presume you know about the FINISH function (if you decide to shut down for a while).

For sure... :)

I just need to put a new I/O shield to keep dust from entering my refurbished system (where the onboard video connector and USB ports are in the rear). 1-hr or less.

Oh, a quick peek inside my Dell to see if the CPU cooler needs dusting. I can't get another BTX style motherboard for it, so if it fries--that computer's done (salvage what I can).
