OpenCL lib not detected AMD 5500XT and Mint 20

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though AMD has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

Where did you get the information that this is a little slow? 5 hours is not unexpected.

FAH computes different WUs in widely varying amounts of time. It depends on the total numbers of atoms in the protein AND on the characteristics of your computer. Deadlines for individual projects vary from a fraction of a day to as much as 20 days. See https://apps.foldingathome.org/psummary

I just saw that the unit was 5 times the size of the cpu unit so this seems like it might be right.

What do "Estimated TPF" and "Estimated PPD" say when you select the GPU slot? (Let it work for about 5% at least.)

You also might consider the fact that if one WU has N atoms and another WU has 5*N atoms, that means that there might be the need to calculate a lot more than 5x as many forces between pairs of atoms
