Do my seti@home points transfer over?

Since seti@home concluded recently I am now using my computer to fold proteins. My question is, do I get credit for the 9,786,202 Cobblestones of computation? That's 8.46 quintillion floating point operations, mind you.

Welcome to Folding@Home

No.

Folding points are never transferable.

If I wanted some degree of transfer, I would choose another BOINC project.

GPUGRID.net and Rosetta@Home seem somewhat similar to F@H.

Hi johnbabrick, welcome to Folding and to this forum.

Folding@home and SETI@home don't share the same distributing computing platform/ ecosystem and the credits are not transferable between the two projects. Additionally, points in Folding@home cannot be transferred to a different user or team once they have been credited. Just something to keep in mind.

I'm another SETI orphan looking for a good project to support. I did SETI for over 20 years amassing 73 million cobblestones (#572 worldwide) and 23 thousand units before moving to cobblestones. I did look at teams, but only the top 100 seemed to show. I was wondering how to get a full listing of teams hoping that a team or teams had been formed by SETI orphans. I was on the Planetary Society team in SETI. Could use some help getting to the right place.

The third party stats site at Extreme Overclocking - https://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ - currently is tracking the top 12,000 teams and tracks individual stats for members of the top 800(?) teams. That might get you some team names.

The entire Teams list (text file) can be downloaded from https://foldingathome.org/statistics/ . This has around 110k teams, with several having "SETI" in their names. Perhaps one of these may be a good fit? You can see the team members and their contributions over at https://stats.foldingathome.org/teams to see if there's anyone you recognize from your SETI teams.
