Tried uninstalling and reinstalling V7.5.1 and still have the exact same problem. Is this no longer used ? i still see the option on the toolbar that pops up.

There is/was a known problem with advanced control (aka FAHControl) that involved the default theme ... it didn't always work properly ... solution ... if you can get into preferences change the theme and restart FAHControl.

Cannot get into advanced control to change anything or even see my log, just what pops up as shown in my previous post.

Any other way to get to that ?

I'm not sure how well Vista is supported as I have not used it in many years but have a look at the Requiements:
https://foldingathome.org/support/faq/i ... uirements/
You may see some prerequisite that you're missing.
e.g. "... Microsoft .NET Framework is required by V7 FAHControl in Windows ..."

Looks like this Python is some kind of program, i don't know where it came from or who installed it ( maybe the kids ?) but there is no program installed by that name as far as i can see. Will continue my search. Must be some kind of incompatibility with the new download version i guess.

Python is a scripting language that is used by FAHClient. (https://www.python.org/) In the past I've seen some issues with the version of Python installed on your OS but apparently you didn't change that, so I'm not sure what the problem might be.

Can you try fully uninstalling F@h and then doing a clean re-install?
F@h is now the top computing platform on the planet and nothing unites people like a dedicated fight against a common enemy. This virus affects all of us. Lets end it together.

System has been rebooted many times in the past years including yesterday after frustration.

More information.
FahCore_a7 is running in task manager, the Web control, advanced control, protein viewer window pops up and adjusts correctly but that's it. Web control times out, advanced control shows the same window posted in the first thread but i am able to adjust full, medium & light options.

Thats all I'm getting at this point.

Updated Nvidia driver to latest version with clean install.

Uninstalled F@H and went through looking for anything related and deleted witch seemed to be old download version of F@h.

Reinstalled latest F@H download and still same thing.
