Having a big problem here with the Windows 5.04 console client running on my uniprocessor P4. After several hours of being assigned to server 0.0.0.0, it finally started getting assignments. However, it was getting assigned SMP Gromacs projects. How is this possible?

The project in question is 2605 (R7, C336, G48)

Re-run the client with the -configonly option. In the Advanced section, say "no" to the question about running deadlineless WUs. In the past you were ALWAYS assigned to 0.0.0.0, but now for reasons that I do not understand, something strange is often assigned.

There have been no deadlineless WUs for years and the servers can no longer deal with that setting. (The setting no longer exists in V6.) Fortunately very few people have enabled that setting.

Gotcha, thanks for the info. I did change that setting about an hour ago, now I am having the same assigned to 0.0.0.0 problem on this and two other clients. Ugh. Oh well, will continue to be patient for more work.

Thanks for the heads up. This should be fixed now (and with something reasonably permanent to avoid this in the future).
