[Core A3] RHEL4 kernel too old

I have a 12 core RHEL4 server with kernel version "2.6.9-89.29.1.ELlargesmp". It has been folding A3 nicely for months using the 6.29 SMP client.

Recently, the SMP client downloaded a new version of "FahCore_a3.exe". The new core always return "FATAL: kernel too old" and never produce any work. I tried updating the SMP client to 6.34 but that doesn't work either.

So is there any way I can continue to fold SMP? Or is it intended to drop support for RHEL4? Please let me know.

Apparently glibc on the build machine have minimal kernel version requirement that your system isn't meeting (anymore).

While it would be nice of PG to (at least) post the specs of the build system ahead of a release
(if they are not willing or able to perform extensive compatibility testing), the RHEL4 is waaaaay old.

Quick examination of the binary shows minimal kernel version of 2.6.14.

Yes the kernel is really old, but as RH is still supporting RHEL4 we don't plan to upgrade the OS yet.

They don't support Windows 2000 anymore either. Same boat... sorry.
