Two reports of EUE and one success for this WU are in the DB ...

so many multiple assignments... one can't help to wonder how "unique" all of his WUs actually are... well in this case it's not so surprising considering the core throws away most of it's units. damn I hate it so much.

I don't understand your hate of reassigning failed work. The WU failed on two computers and succeeded on a third. The whole point of reassigning it is to get it completed and the system worked as designed, accomplishing what it was supposed to accomplish.

What we don't know is why the first two machines failed. Specifically, of those three, what is different about the machine that succeeded? I'm sure everyone would like to eliminate those two failures and go directly to a successful completion.

I don't hate reassigning failed work, I hate the protomol core (which is apparently coincidentally causing unnecessary WU multiplication, but thats beside the point really). the only way these units work is when the client isn't ever shut down, which is unacceptable for my laptop and generally unacceptable for a released (non-beta) software. Same thing on my other machines which aren't shutdown/restarted as often so it might be a more rare occurrence, but theres no way I'm letting these units on those. and I just noticed... where the HELL is my rage driven comment on the WU failure? are you pruning my posts now? that might be the last straw for me really. for the record, I said in the first post that this is BS. I let my laptop overnight to meet the short deadline just so it can crap out on me after moving the laptop elsewhere. also mentioned something about blinding rage, even more so now when it disappeared... and don't you dare touch this post!

The inability to restart was fixed in a recent version of the core. Please post your hardware description and the FAHlog showing the failure, starting from the download.
