Finished p5799 r8 c79 g18 a few hours ago. Perhaps some configuration details could help narrow down the source of your problems.

Copy of client.cfg:

[power]
battery=no
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
graphics driver: 196.34 beta
CPU: Core 2 Duo E8500 @ 3.2 GHz (undervolted) on P5W-DH Dlx
RAM: 4 GB, DDR2-800 CL4
GPU: GTX280 @ 630 MHz core, 1429 MHz shaders, 999 MHz memory (core undervolted 100mV)
(installed in the closest PCI-e slot to the CPU; no other PCI or PCI-e cards)
SMP client: running an A3 at the time, idle priority
GPU client: higher than idle priority, no custom environment variables or starting flags

I notice both p5799-failing systems use die-shrunk versions of the GT200 core.

During this p5799 run, GPU power consumption was well under peak, and PPD was roughly 20% below the more optimal 353- and 783-pt work units.

Of note, my GTX280 is not completely memory-stable at stock, so I have underclocked the memory, which does not measurably affect FAH performance. To judge GPU core stability, I run OCCT-GPU (not the memtest option), which uses the engine from Crysis. This has detected core undervoltage where ATITool didn't.

Presumably this is yours even though the UserName isn't Wrish.

Your WU (P5799 R8 C79 G18) was added to the stats database on 2010-02-28 08:02:08 for 375 points of credit.

Oh, I finished it and got credit for it. Maybe I was not the only one assigned the WU.

I turned in p5799 on 2/28 at 12:11pm eastern, and the credit was logged via 3rd party stats at the 3pm eastern update. On my end I had logged p5799 for 375pts, p5784 for 783 pts, and p6014 for 3817 pts, but must have lost 13 points for SMP upload time.

Send me a PM containing header information from FAHlog on the machine that completed Project: 5799 (Run 8 Clone 79 Gen 18). (including the Machine ID, the User ID, the User Name, the Team No, etc.)
