CPU and GPU different idle levels possible?

Post by EliotWL »

Hi,
So I have had this running on my computer for awhile but I recently got a game that is a bit graphics card intensive at times. My cpu can handle the game and folding just fine, but the gpu is maxing out and causing game stuttering. I can turn down the folding power level from Full to medium or light to fix the issue, but I was wondering if there was a way to set it so my cpu can still have full power while my gpu is turned down

Yes, this is possible. Using the advanced control - FAHControl - right click on each folding slot. A small menu will pop up, it has options to set the slot to "On Idle" or pause and restart it individually. The larger Pause and Start buttons work on all slots at once.
