Under normal conditions, F@H never issues the same Work Unit to multiple people. There are exceptions:
If a WU is not returned by the timeout, it is reissued. For any Project, the next generation of WUs can't be sent out until this generation is returned.
If a WU is returned in error, it is reissued, in case the error is caused by faulty user hardware.

I am not aware of any other exceptions, but I am just a volunteer like yourself.

... and occasionally (a non normal circumstances) due to server/assignment issues things don't happen as usually planned and the same wu may be issued multiple times in error - but most of the time things like that are either caught in testing or reported and rectified quickly.

PRCG - Project Run Clone Gen, is used to identify a WU that is assigned to you.
Project: Biological system.
Run: Different starting configuration (positions) of atoms.
Clone: Different starting velocities of atoms (each Run can have multiple Clones with different starting velocities).
Gen: Time sequence (so Clone 1, Gen 2 is sent after Clone 1, Gen 1 is received and processed).
