Well, I've been reading through some of these posts, and it appears I'm not alone. This stinks b/c I'm a serious folder and I was poised to have my best week yet, ending yesterday. I tried many of the usual things. I even switched to 3 other browsers, thinking it was firefox's browser that was screwing me over. I even tried installing an older version of Firefox, and I lost all my bookmarks - year's worth!

Just wanted to follow up on this. One of my folding PCs was sitting idle this afternoon, so after a pause/unpause to get it to attempt a download (unsuccessfully) I rebooted the system. After starting up again it got reassigned to the same work servers & was still unsuccessful at downloading a work unit. So rebooting didn't appear to have any effect.

I think the key is "...it got reassigned to the same WS"

Suppose there is only one WS with assignments for you hardware. That'certainly going to happen.

Suppose there are several WS with assignments for you hardware. The Assignment Server will create a list of those WorkServer and choose on (at random?), so there's a good chance your new connection will bypass whatever was preventing you from getting an assignment before the reboot (if the cause is server-based).

The point is that the Assignment Server logic gets activated and the client will be assigned to (perhaps) a new Work Server. I'm not sure that happens without the reboot, though logically, it should if you're not getting an assignment.

Welcome to the F@H Forum citj57c105pa,

Please note that ARM support is only on FahCore_a8 which is a relatively new FahCore so it will take a while until more Projects are released on FahCore_a8. Moreover, given the diversity of computing power that FahCore_a8 can support (from ARM to multi-socket CPUs), it might take a bit of time to optimize what WUs are assigned to what systems :)
