FAHControl updating/lost connection...repeatedly Ubuntu 20.

Absolute noob linux...I installed FAHClient and FAHControl, worked great. Rebooted the machine after a few weeks and now FAHConrol will not connect to the FAHClient. Again, I don't know a darn thing about Linux, but from reading: I telnet 127.0.0.1 and connected to the client with no problem, so why is FAHControl balking? I am manually starting up FAHControl from an application launcher so that may be the problem, or maybe it doesn't have a way to get to a config file? Like Donny, I'm out of my element!

to add: I am folding on two machines. One is running windows 10 and the other Ubuntu 20.04. They both are running on the same network so maybe that plays into this dilemma

looks like some sort of internet problem. something is stopping the client from connecting to the outside. Usually this is a firewall/antivirus thing to give Fahclient special permission to not get blocked
