Shortage of CPU WU's

I am trying to figure out if F@H want my CPU cycles or not as there appears to be a severe shortage of CPU WU's.

I have a 3950X with 24 threads assigned to F@H sitting here idle doing nuffink...

Do not panic. This will be resolved soon, as I believe that some of the servers are being upgraded/updated.

One of the project managers, who will have better information than I do will post an update when one is available.

In the meanwhile, I'm getting ready to do a Fedora OS update on 3 of my systems within the next 24-30 hours, so you might get a few that I won't be running during that time.

Yep, there's still a real need of CPUs... it's just unfortunate timing of lack of CPU Projects due to Server upgrades/issues plus researchers who are finishing up and new researchers who are coming on-board. The fall time (in Northern hemisphere) is generally when staff turn over happens which can have an impact on Project availability.

Not only am I not receiving CPU WU's for my 3900X to process, sever 155.247.166.220 is not receiving the 7 Project 16918 WU's that my Graphics card has processed overnight.

155.247.166.220 looking to be up and assigning/receiving - not a huge amount of disk space being reported but a couple of terabytes is usually enough not to have issues there ... I hope this won't be a reoccurrence of the issues you've had previously with returning WUs as iirc we didn't get that resolved as such it just went away? ... Lets see if anyone else is having issues - I'll check the logs from my kit and see if I've had any from this server (appears not but my throughput of gpu wus is low).

@Neil-B Thanks for remembering. Yes you are right the problem went away for the most part. Occasionally I'll see one or two WU's waiting for the 66.170.000.50 server but over past couple of weeks none have been waithing for more an few hours. And until this morning I'd haven't had any backed up for a week. Had a string of days over 3M PPD, then the CPU shortage hit and to get any CPU WU's I had to reconfigure from one CPU slot of 21 cores to 2 Slots of 10, and that worked from Friday to Sunday, now no CPU WUs for almost 24 hours. The GPU keeps picking up new work but the ones from Project 16918 are not being uploaded.
