What version of the folding client is running on that MacBook? Could you post the first 200 lines of the log file, that would show the system hardware and software setup for the client and also dhow the configuration of the folding software.

I am not seeing anything obvious, you may just have run ito a bad WU if you only got that error on one WU. If it is continuing that failed message instead of dumping the WU and requesting another, something may have stuck on retrying. If that is the case we can give directions on how to manually remove the WU.

If you get this error on every WU, different Project, Run, Clone and Generation numbers, it is possible something got corrupted. Are you running any antivirus or anti malware scans?

By default, after the install the client is requesting to run WUs on 7 CPU threads. It should automatically reducing the thread count to 6 at the time a WU starts. You can set 6 to be the request number in FAHControl if you want, or a different number.

happened on multiple wu's. and yeah machine has av software on it. I'll see about disabling.

7 is when the slider was on low, 16 on "high" all settings giver WU errors.

You may just need to exclude the work/data directory from scanning. The files located in /Library/Application Support/FAHClient/ are the ones used by the folding client.
