My Radeon 6850 hasn't received any work unit to do since September 24.
I have been getting this kind of log:
05:13:56:WU00:FS00:Connecting to assign-GPU.stanford.edu:80
05:13:57:WU00:FS00:News: Welcome to Folding@Home
05:13:57:WARNING:WU00:FS00:Failed to get assignment from 'assign-GPU.stanford.edu:80': Empty work server assignment

05:13:58:WU00:FS00:News: Welcome to Folding@Home
05:13:58:WARNING:WU00:FS00:Failed to get assignment from 'assign-GPU.stanford.edu:8080': Empty work server assignment
Any clues as to what might be going on?

Welcome to the folding@home support forum boxio.
Yes, there is a server problem for core 16 work at the moment.
Try pausing your GPU slot(right-click on GPU slot in the Folding Slots pane of the FAHControl gui and select Pause) and adding this option(Configure>Slots>GPU>Edit>Add):
Name: client-type
Value: advanced
Click on Ok and Save.
Restart the GPU slot(right-click on GPU slot and select Fold) and you should get core 17 work.
You may need to update your graphic drivers ... I'm currently using 13.10 beta and they are working well.

- Hardware configuration: none anymore, FAH doesn't want it, it seems.
Re: No WU for Radeon 6850?
I'd like to add that core 17 WUs may take longer than a core 16 WU. They're quite large (the core's more efficient, but the WU is huge), so my main GPU (6970) takes over a full day to complete for a single WU.
[edit]To clarify: not trying to dissuade, just make sure you have enough time to finish the WUs. Two hours a day (my usual rate) might not cut it.

It seems I can't write a signature that both conveys my feelings and doesn't look like a miserable trolling attempt...

Failed to get assignment from 'assign-GPU.stanford.edu:80'
I've been getting this error message "WARNING:WU00:FS00:Failed to get assignment from 'assign-GPU.stanford.edu:80': Empty work server assignment" for all my AMD GPU platforms for a few days now (these are all HD-6xxx cards). Since all my Nvidea systems continue to fold, I am now wondering if the problem is at your end -OR- have these AMD cards been dropped from folding science as happened last year with the 5xxx series
