Yesterday afternoon, I finished p5716-r2-c0-g612 and the next project I got was p5716-r2-c0-g614.
I would have expected Gen 613 to be in between ? Am I right ?

Yes you are but it could be possible that somebody else got that WU and returned it hence you got the next one. Do note that WU distribution is on a near random basis so you can't predict what WU you get next.
