QMD - Dead and gone?

Post by RAH »

Ah! I scored so many points on the old QMDs. Nothing like the SMP, but still a fine assignment.

For the longest time, the old server, had what looked like the next set of WUs ready to go.
Now it seems to have disappeared completely.
Was wondering if, because of the new clients, it had become somewhat obsolete?

Can the new clients, do somewhat the same calulations?
Is QMD still maybe in Pandes' future?
Do you know of other science groups going along ths line?

I remember reading quite a bit about it, but my mind refuses to recall much now.

That one is the Pande Group to answer, but at the moment there seems no QMD developers/interested parties working on it.

QMD - currently inactive, due to QMD developer graduating from Stanford University and due to current research shifting away from Quantum MD.
