Cancer Research

many new research projects on cancer are available on GPU Client particularly with the introduction of FAHcore17.

My question is simply: Does research projects against cancer also exist with SMP Client ?

thank you for your answers...

I checked the file GPUs.txt was present, but it is always the same ...

Re: A plea for more cancer projects

PS There are other cancer projects we are prototyping now, for hopeful rollout to FAH. Dr. Diwakar Shukla in particular is also writing a grant for us to use FAH to study certain forms of pediatric cancer.
This is great news, which is highly motivating for me ... :D

Re: Protein Folding Conference (F@h and experiments)

Effectively there are always people who are skeptical with new research methods, this is not new and it has always existed before. In a sense Folding@home is a victim of its immense success and reputation of most powerful distributed computing network. Just as the saying Prof.Pande, if we encounter ...

Re: Intel To Ship Xeon Phi

careful this card uses (50) x86 cores and the total power is 1TFLOPS !
The power of NVIDIA Tesla K20 (based on the GK110) is 2TFLOPS, so be careful because the computing power is not comparable with GPGPU !

And I do not imagine the price ...

Re: WU's per project

Very pertinent question jsanthara, I also think that this type of information could be interresting !!
But I also think it would be an additional workload for the PD ...This will be a large amount of additional data to be processed !

Nice article, but much remains to be done to eradicate cancer...
I wish the PG is most active on cancer projects.

Re: many influenza WU

I also agree with the principle that Fah research are cumulative and each discovery is good for all problems studied. More specifically about simulations has influenza, the last years we have known variations and mutations very dangerous to humans (like H1N1). It is therefore important to understand...

Re: own folding result

One thing is sure, the results of simulations of folding@home help advance research in very high speed !! The proper question is how such research would be possible without folding@home ? A good example is the discovery of the team of Prof. Garcia on IL-2 protein. Computing power of folding@home hel...

Re: Nvidia 296.10 WHQL drivers fail

toTOW is right, more serious problems with the drivers have already occurred in the past !

To solve the problem it is easier to turn off the monitor with the button...simple and effective.

On the other side it is sad to see that nvidia does not react more quickly to fix this problem :-(
