Re: Thread limit/minimum for large CPU work units?

There is at least one project around at the moment that has a thread constraint set for greater than 4 cpus/threads so that may be what you are observing.

Re: Unable to use GPU to fold

Can you post the start of the log - the first 100 lines or so as I am looking for the driver information ... it will have a bit like this: 10:07:32: GPUs: 1 10:07:32: GPU 0: Bus:1 Slot:0 Func:0 NVIDIA:8 GA104 [GeForce RTX 3070] 10:07:32: CUDA Device 0: Platform:0 Device:0 Bus:1 Slot:0 Compute:8.6 Dr...

Re: Unable to use GPU to fold

Welcome to the Forums :) You haven't given us much to go on ... could you post your log https://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?p=327416&f=24#p327416 to give us a better idea of your setup and what the log is showing. In the mean time a couple of guesses ... Your GPU is overclocked and not stable...

Re: 18027 Bad Work Unit

Believe the project in question may actually have been released full fah hence folders concerns ... and I believe representations were made to the researcher about this. I have run some 750+ p18201s and some 50+ p18202s and not had a single failure on my RTX3070 Win 11 setup so for me they have been...

Re: ERROR:GPU with PCI bus 0 and slot 2 not found

Slightly confused ... your first post implies you had just started your pc this morning and got this error - which might indicate either no Internet gpus.txt issue or the drivers updating possibly as part of a system update as part of the shutdown/restart ... your next post implies you started fachl...

Re: 18027 Bad Work Unit

Best chance for avoiding is to set a cause preference that has a live project ... such as alz ... then you should get those rather than these ... this should be a fairly short lived project as I understand it.

Re: Occasional bursts of insane TPF that don't self-correct

Irrelevant; I shouldn't've mentioned it (people always jump to blame the one odd thing). Happened long before I did that, and it happens on computers that don't even have a GPU. OK in that case I can't help I'm afraid as my kit never has this issue ... Wasn't trying to blame anything tbh - when tro...

Re: Why does FAH throw out work with a new graphics driver?

A reboot after installing the nVidia drivers will ensure FaH picks up the new drivers ... It may be that both this and the other issue you post are linked to FaH trying to use old drivers after driver update?

Re: Occasional bursts of insane TPF that don't self-correct

I use advanced control 24/7/356 and tbh have never seen such behaviour .. I wonder if your script and maxing the cpu as you do is maybe the cause of the issues with advanced control?
