Re: F@H client disobeying my research choices?

Welcome to the forums, The cause preference setting is simply that ... a preference ... If there are Covid-19 projects in play with WUs that match your configuration you should get them - if there are non available then you will be assigned other projects. As to setting broken, missing something and...

Re: Stats server issue?

Restoring data structures and catching up data backlogs whilst ensuring data integrity is not necessarily a quick/simple fix tbh and add the complications of physical environment and access controls along with conflicting/competing priorities on techs/devs time and time to resolution becomes interes...

Re: How to set maximum CPU utilisation %

Many laptop vendors give few if any options for adjusting the cpu voltages/power/clocks/etc. I'm afraid :(

Re: Questions about Project 17110 (benchmarks)

Just seen clarification ... the wus for this will probably be released in batches/pulses so that if anything nasty starts to occur then the supply will run out before to much pain is caused - not that issues are expected but best to be careful ... I guess this means these might appear sporadically f...

Re: Questions about Project 17110 (benchmarks)

Actually I have a suspicion that the pool of p17110 wus may have been exhausted for the time being - waiting to see if any more are going to be released.

Re: Questions about Project 17110 (benchmarks)

1) There is an ongoing issues with all stats not just this project - see other posts. 2) The project will run for as long as the FaH team need it to to test/benchmark the new core - this doesn't tend to be for that long - days not weeks/months/years. 3) The project will hit any/all gpus - each run w...

Re: Q9450 and RX480

Welcome to the forums :) One pf the best ways to check this would be to try it ... Monitor the performance you are getting from running them both then set the Q9450 to "finish" and once it pauses after completing the wu it is on then you can see what the performance difference is for the r...

Re: core22 0.0.10 released to full FAH!

Seeing the same here During the period between the watchdog trigger and the hard shutdown I noticed the GPU was running at a high clock rate but at a very low temperature, and the folds were completing in about 40 seconds. This is not normal and with a working WU the clock rate is about 2 - 2.5% sl...

Could you also watch the clock speeds for the gpus and report if these are changing at all when this happens?

Re: 511.23 a bad driver?

I'm seeing if anything a very small (sub 1%) upward shift in ppd from this latest driver update so far (om sample of 4 wus) ... rtx3070, win 11 (latest build)

Re: project 13461 loop issue

@PaulTV beat me to it - but I'll leave this suince I have typed it :) A Project wil have many WUs ... Each is defined by a PRCG or a Project (Run, Clone, Gen) ... Your logs show you running a number of WUs from Project 13461 ... They are not the same WU - they are different parts of the same project...

... and some of us are really paranoid and both pause the slot and then after a minute shut the client down and then after another minute do whatever re reboot etc. ... Really shouldn't be necessary in an ideal world and is probably way over the top even in the real world but I haven't had any issue...

Re: gpu not folding - cpu at very high temperature

The only thing I would add to @PaulTV guidance (which is nice and clear) is that gpu folding is (due to the nature of how gpus work a binary approach of on or off - it isnt at this time (or likely to be in the near future) possible to run the gpu at 50% capacity ... for desktops with dedicated gpus ...

... and occasionally (a non normal circumstances) due to server/assignment issues things don't happen as usually planned and the same wu may be issued multiple times in error - but most of the time things like that are either caught in testing or reported and rectified quickly.

Re: Initial impressions for fast ARM hardware

16955 timeout is three days with 5 day expiration ... completion within the timeout rather than expiration is preferable as at timeout the wu is assigned to another folder ... from your figures it looks like it will complete in 1.86 days and so within the timeout which is great :)
