There was work for this GPU (I have the same), but it's been idle now for a few months unfortunately.promeneur wrote:There will be no FAH support in the future for my intel HD graphics 630. I understand that my igpu is too weak to display my desktop and to compute. Then I stop exploring IGPU computing.

I don't believe that's the case.psaam0001 wrote:I figured the A7 jobs are going to the older & slower systems while they are usable.

Oh it is, there are several GPU projects with fewer base points. The 200k one is simply huge.aetch wrote:50,000 is not a big CPU project, it's medium at best. There is a 205,000 CPU project live right now with more in the pipeline. https://stats.foldingathome.org/project

I don't think that's correctJimboPalmer wrote: The Cores, the science software, is written by the researchers. They seem to focused on Intel GPUs.

The researchers posted something like this, but it's 9 years old:

In all honesty if it's for a private company I'd be tempted to blacklist too. I won't, I'll just stop folding first, but it is severely tempting. I share your concern, but everything we fold is still open science. You can read more about the collaboration here: https://foldingathome.org/2021/04/20/...

It's not in beta: https://apps.foldingathome.org/psummary?visibility=BETA
These seem to be projects run by a private company (Roivant Sciences), for whatever it's worth.

Re: How can the size of assigned tasks can be restricted.
Unfortunately, there is no direct way to set the max processing time of the work unit. There is an option for preferring small size of downloaded work, so you might try that and see if it correlates. Under Expert options tab, in the Extra client options add : "max-packet-size" and set its...

Re: can't get new wu from all assignment server
That may depend on the number of CPU threads that get allocated to process the WU. I have a system with 4 CPU threads an a GPU which grabbed a new WU for 3 threads just a few minutes ago. Further reports from all of you will probably help. I experimented a bit. When I set my CPU slot to 3 cores, I ...
