Re: Video camera with 4.4 trillion FPS

I have no doubt, that if the capability, precision and accuracy existed then someone would write some software to compare images and thereby have the ability to have a computer condense the unneeded and/or surplus information in the video to more usable levels. My opinion: Really, are we that far to...

Re: New Folder. Are my PPD numbers good?

It all looks fine from what I can see. That being said what people are going to want so that they can make intelligent suggestions would be a copy of the folding log, including the system and config portions (click refresh before copying) between
and
tags

PG knows that some WU's are not getting credit.

Re: Quick Units..

Nope, that is normal. The Chrome client WU's are in much smaller chucks which works well for low-end CPU's or part-timer folders that can't easily complete the WU's that the v7 clients do. Because the chunks are smaller, it is also true that the NaCl client will transfer data far more often. The ran...

Neither of those WU's have yet to be processed by the stat server.

Yes, just supply the same username, passkey and team number on each machine.

Re: Display NS/DAY in V7

Is that true with all projects regardless of size? It does seem to me a bit simplistic but if universally true, that makes for an easy calculation. It also should make ns/day a linear correlation to PPD/day with just constant multiplier that is specific to a particular HW configuration and project.

Re: GTX750-TI and Core 17 on Windows

My observation is that Maxwells started working with Core_17 approximately when v.55 of Core_17 was released. I don't know that anyone has checked the different versions to see if that was the source of the solution.

Re: Project 11292 points...

Can't tell if something funny is occurring since there are no errors in the log. I would check that the GPU clock rate is where it is supposed to be and hasn't been reset to a very low number.

Re: Whitelist/Blacklist Change-Log (Greylist)

All you need to do is while folding is paused or shut down, delete your local copy of the gpus.txt file. When the client is restarted, it will automatically re-download the most current list.

Yes, I checked the master list, and all the cards you previously listed had already been added.

Re: Having issues folding on GTX 660s

The Bad platformId size error is a sure indication of video Driver issues and more specifically lack of OpenCL support within the video driver. Currently the only video drivers that have enough support for OpenCL are the Nvidia proprietary drivers.

Re: geforce gtx 780ti folding extremely slow

When your machine forces a very low clock rate that can only be solved by rebooting it is invariably a sign that your driver did a GPU reset (which also tends to kill the WU that it is working on) which means the GPU quit responding to driver requests. Resets show temporarily in the systray but disa...

Sorry, but with client-type beta in the log, no one is even allowed to respond. All beta threads are required to be posted in the beta forums by official beta tester's. Please post it there. Our policy is that non official beta testers can use the beta flag but do so at their own risk for there is a...

Is the slot set to fold only when idle?

It would be useful for you to post the log using copy and paste, including the config and system portions (Click refresh).

Re: geforce gtx 780ti folding extremely slow

Adding a CPU slot, may increase your PPD (from the CPU also folding) but not to the GPU. What I was saying was that if the CPU folds or something else is using 100% of the CPU, you may need to manually decrease the number of CPU cores folding so that the GPU has at least full CPU core all to itself....
