Two motherboards?

Mod edit: Split from a topic on another subject. I would pretty much have to look at a case that could fit two motherboards. Maybe in the future  I have one from MountainMods. Case is nice, two full-size MB at same time. But not sure if I would do it again. You might need to shutdown both ...

Re: Not new to folding - question about f@h Android client

I have two questions: how serious are the result taken as now in open source the integrity need to be checked only in the backend and second without integration into regular points system (as BOINC on Android) I don’t see much benefit.

Re: Czech Republic the default?

As the QRB depend on the combination donor/passkey/team Just the combination of donor name and passkey is involved in qualifying the combination for QRB. The team can be changed without affecting that once qualified. I thought I read otherwise but thanks for the correction ! Not changing so often a...

Re: Czech Republic the default?

No, the points stay where they are and not being transferred in any way. If you change your name or team you start from 0 with that combination. Doing that switch early is therefore a good idea. Such change also require to requalify your passkey (10 WU successful returned to get quick return bonus)....

Re: Is there going to be new cores to take advantage of new

[This is all wild ass guessing, I have no inside information] The more atoms in the protein, the more shaders the program will use. fold too large a protein fails to complete on time, folding too small a protein does not use all shaders. I do not think the server has (or uses) much information abou...

Re: Remote access not working

I know for sure it’s working as I remote connect from my iOS devices to my folding rigs in several locations. Though those are all Linux Boxen it worked also with Win 7 during tests. Q1: can you just try to “telnet <ip.> 36330 “ and tell us error messages; if any ? Q2: can you share the config.xml f...

Re: Not enough a7 WUs

Dr.M. Are you having cpu slot with six or seven threads ? If seven pls. try six as seven is a “higher” prime and not supported for many recent projects (same as 5). slot size should be a multiple of 1,2 and 3. Your assignments of A7 might have been from projects allowing 7 (but that’s a guess, thoug...

[wild guess]don't know the technical details; but it might impact the GPU drivers and subsequent its performance; for CPU folding I think its less impacting[/wild guess]

Re: List of WUs assigned to me?

Welcome to the FoldingForum FinalplayerRyu Book it as "lesson learned" and in the future just delete the slots before you uninstall the FAH client. With the deletion of a slot with an active assignment the WU get removed correctly and noted to the backend servers (exception: in case of mul...

Re: What are WU/Points used for?

Glory and honor

And yes: useful as performance indicator, system issues indicator, and as mentioned for team competitions within and across teams.

Did I mentioned: Glory and honor ?
