Re: Build Choices
A GTX 1660Ti, and a 750ti. But my PSU kicks the fan on early, around 25%, and it starts at a much higher RPM, and then slows down.

Re: Build Choices
It's working great! I haven't had any problems with it, and I'm running all of my hardware at full blast, so far there don't seem to be any issues. Only small complaint is that when the fan ramps up it gets loud, but it usually settles into a reasonable volume. Hopefully I'll get a new case soon, an...

Re: Build Choices
Ended up going with the EVGA PSU, as the Corsair one didn't come back to market within my time frame. Thanks everyone for your input, it's been helpful!

If given the choice between EVGA and Corsair PSU's, which are generally more reliable, safer, etc?

Re: Core A7 switched from AVX back to SSE2
My A7 core is running SSE2, and my Core i3-8350K supports AVX and AVX-2.

Build Choices
Hey all, I am in the process of upgrading my system, which, among other necessary components, has a Corsair CX450M 2015 Model 450 Watt PSU. I need a little more juice than that, as I plan to introduce a second graphics card, a GTX 750Ti I replaced with my 1660Ti in March, and also got my first job, ...

Check out page two of this thread on the subject. It's been happening to everyone (including myself) as F@H servers are updated.

Re: Core 22 Questions
Ok thanks, that makes sense. I currently don't have the ability to be a beta tester, but I had been seeing that things were happening with the new core, so I thought I'd ask. Thanks for your quick response.

Re: Observation; 3D vs Compute GPU Workload setting
Test your GPU 3D performance in a good benchmark (3DMark, Unigine) under both settings, be sure to watch your temps and clock speeds closely, and see if the setting affects the performance of your cards in 3D workloads. Perhaps it's software optimization, or maybe it outright shuts off the 3D engine...

Core 22 Questions
A couple of questions about the new FAH Core 22:
What kind of performance improvement are we looking at for Core 22 versus Core 21?
Will Core 22 support CUDA acceleration on Nvidia GPU's at release or at some point in the future or not?
When can we expect this new core to arrive?

Re: Playstation 5 and XBox Scarlett
The Xbox One runs a modified version of Windows for the home screen, with games running on a separate OS altogether, managed by a hypervisor. It supports Windows Universal Platform apps, so maybe that would help with porting the client over, if the client could be modified to support the WUP. I can'...
