hm, i don't even see the 'announcement' in the Consortium Announcements thread.
Am I wrong to have assumed all projects are posted there upon release?

Re: Arch - I suddenly can't --send-command
haha, i made some changes via the "advanced" tab, too. But ultimately this was uneffective :( I got the changes to stick, and rebooted, but still can't send commands using --send-X Oddly, I could do other things like FAHClient --queue-info and FAHClient --cpu-type (Turned out to be a huge ...

Oops, sorry! i lost p16955 R4 C2815 G165
PRGC - 16955 4 2815 165 in trying to solve some small issue on archlinux folding, somehow typing FAHClient --cpu-type caused what appeared to be another fahclient load into ram, download a new WU and start folding, which I then hit Cntrl+c to abort. I don't see any evidence of this in my usual /var/...

Re: Arch - I suddenly can't --send-command
the search for config.xml in your other post revealed two locations, but the 2nd one turned out to be a descriptive help file for config. I kind of have your suspicion as well, but I rely on command line to make changes since editing the config file directly doesn't seem to take. I think i'll just h...

when u catch 'em using F@H as a benchmark
u get that feeling of doubt they hit the finish button and waited... cuz they're in the business of other stuff. Yet if u zoom in u can make out the PRGC and so u check... and nothing shows in the WU app site but their powerful GPU should've completed it long ago, or u see usernames that completed i...

Arch - I suddenly can't --send-command
CPU folding on arch thru a persistent storage flash drive a few days ago, latest iso (2022 feb) Everything seemed to be going great, installed fah thru AUR, and configured all my settings with FAHClient --send-command "options blah=X" yesterday I figured I want to change the log-rotate-max...

Re: AWS EC2 - backup checkpoints directory
I, too, recommend persistent storage. I never ran GCP or Azure without it, and it will likely be your easiest path to success. That's about all I can think of, good luck!

Re: COVID Moonshot - should it be left without saving lives?
it ain't "all academics" anymore! Amazing find Moonshot of a candidate drug. Looks like it was submitted sometime in July of 2021, and who knows how many projects we all ran of it. Fingers really crossed now!

gpu on a 64bit bus?
would a 64 bit bus severely affect folding performance? it's part of specs for RTX 2050 which is actually an Ampere GA107 gpu despite the naming they picked.

That's a lot of mutations
17min and 16 sec into a research panel's Q&A vid: https://youtu.be/NKI__VxMaFo?t=1036
wasn't sars cov2 supposed to have an 'error checking' transcriptase? or is this still comparatively few vs other virus mutations?

is proj 18432 single or double precision?
I tried overclocking a 750ti that's been folding great as stock for over a year. I know FAHBench is outdated, but tests with double precision seemed ok yet single precision would fail even with no overclock. After a few good units were completed with the overclock, I just got a crash with 18432 so w...
