Re: GPU: Not possible to complete in time limit

Welcome to the F@H Forum MrCommunistGen,

gs60 has it right, the "Clicks" involved are:
Advanced Control (AKA FAHControl) > Configure > Expert tab > Extra client options > Add
Name: gpu
Value: false
OK > Save > Restart client/system (whatever is easier)

Re: Drop in points for dual GPUs lately

While people are on leave, those who are working are ensuring that the Servers have sufficient supply of WUs to feed the clients. If there are issues, feel free to report it here so we can notify the correct people to investigate this further :)

Re: Need help selecting a Processor

Welcome to the F@H Forum shill_team_6, ...The OpenMM project (and by extension, the core22 folding core) builds and tests well on Jetson GPU via CUDA. There must be additional conditions imposed by FAHClient that restrict this folding core from running on Jetson GPU (e.g. GPUs.txt, perhaps?), as the...

Re: Isn't it time to tune down on COVID-19 projects?

...They had to abandon research to devote to COVID-19, you can't ask them to abandon their research again. (I do hope they can eventually resume their older research, but that may requre going back to older Cores. Volunteers will hate going back to older Cores) I wouldn't say abandon, but rather pa...

Welcome to the F@H Forum dawoo,

Can you please post the log file? Ensure you include the first 100 lines which will inform us of what the system configuration is and what the client settings are. If you require guidance, please view this topic: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=26036

Re: 140.163.4.200

FYI, the CS 140.163.4.210 has an update of about 1 hour so was recently rebooted. I am aware that working is being done on it to improve certain aspects. BTW, redirection will not work with the current setup. The WU will either try to reach out to the WS or the CS (if it is defined) which is determi...

Re: random system hang

...When I checked the driver version it matched Nvidia's latest, but I reinstalled it as a clean installation to be sure. What I did notice is that the file path given as the first step of the process was historically correct, but I can't find the actual directory based on the driver version name (...

Re: random system hang

Just wondering if you have installed Nvidia drivers from the official site? Reason is that if you have done the feature update to 20H2, then you might be using Microsoft Drivers which are known to be troublesome when it comes to folding. Using the drivers from Nvidia would resolve that issue.

Welcome to the F@H Forum Nan0Scho1ar,

Please note that as of January 14 2019, the official stance is that F@H doesn't endorse any cryptocurrencies but is happy to engage with all participants as long as they follow the EULA: https://foldingathome.org/2019/01/14/fo ... urrencies/

If you have a bit of time, could you potentially poke around to see if you can reliably re-create the issue? This has been an elusive issue so would appreciate if you can do it to allow us to investigate this further and fix it :)

Welcome to the F@H Forum c_zagarskas, What version of the F@H client have you installed? AFAIK, FAHControl has the Python 2 dependency issue but Web Control should be working fine. Do you have any firewall or software that is intercepting network connections? Also can you please post the log file? E...

Re: No GPU Slots - No GPU Utilization

Interesting... I guess <gpu v='false'/> means that it simply disables the auto-creation of the GPU Slots at startup but doesn't interfere with the auto-detection of GPUs. Thus, one can manually add in X GPU Slots assuming they are supported for folding.

Humm... the log file that you posted isn't the first 100 lines that I was expecting. Since this has been resolved here (viewtopic.php?f=61&t=36641), there's no need for the log file since everything is working as expected :)
