This appears to be a niche mining GPU, and may not be in F@H's database. If so please post the device ID for the card.

You can find it in Linux using lspci

Re: Disabled GPU

Welcome to Folding@Home! https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/rtx-a3000-mobile.c3806 Assuming this is a laptop, the specs indicate it meets F@H minimum specification. Also assuming that you are the first to try to fold with this GPU, they will need it's Device id enable it. Again assuming you use W...

Re: folding with CPU only; GPU added but was disabled

Welcome to Folding@Home! https://www.techpowerup.com/cpu-specs/phenom-x4-9650.c499 Unless you do not pay for electricity, you may find it cheaper to buy a more modern CPU. Your 2008 CPU only supports 128 bit math and some current CPUs support 512 bits at a time. (F@H only supports 256 bits currently)

Re: My 2-year anniversary of folding

I have been folding for 14 years, mostly on old laptops.

While no where near your other stats, I am near 185,000 WUs.

Re: GPU slot added after every restart

I used to frequently advise folks to completely uninstall F@H and reinstall it to get new GPUs to be discovered. Making it search for GPU changes on start up solved that. If you want help running the GPU, you could post the first 200 lines of the log. If you want 100% CPU utilization, you can set th...

Re: Raspberry Pi 400, Raspberry Pi 64-bit OS, and FAHClient

Welcome to Folding@Home!

I am not a Linux user nor a Raspberry Pi user, but the minimum Pi is a RPi 4, the 3B is half as fast and most likely not complete any Work Units.

We don't know what OS you are using, but most likely Windows or Linux. Here is a post that shows how to post your log in several OS's.

The first 200 lines should be the most helpful to show us your setup and configuration.

There is no reason to think there will be issues with the GPU. It may not find proteins large enough to keep it fully occupied, F@H will not use the RT cores.

Best of luck!

Re: Problem with Stoney Ridge APU not working

Welcome to Folding@Home! (I am just a user like you) https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/radeon-r5-mobile-graphics.c3215 According to these specs, your GPU has both 64 bit math capabilities and OpenCL support better than version 1.2. It shows as over 4 times as slow as the GPU known to finish all ...

Re: updating folding computers

Welcome to Folding@Home!

As a rule of thumb, F@H will 'need' a thread for the OS and a thread per GPU.
Ideally for 7 GPUs, a 8 core/16 thread CPU will keep busy.

To the extent I understand PCIE, you will need a CPU and motherboard with 56 lanes for 7 GPUs

Re: Running FAH on low power.

There is an advanced option called "max-packet-size" which could be set to "small", "normal" or "big" but this controls the size of the download, (for dial up modems) not the length of processing time you want. While there is some correlation, it is not 1 to 1.

Re: Running FAH on low power.

Welcome to Folding@Home! I'm also running on solar, but am powering my whole house which happens to include PCs. 32 panels and 38kw of batteries Specifying fewer cores may get you smaller Work Units for your CPU. F@H currently categorizes GPUs by family, so a GT 1030 is lumped in with a GTX 1080ti. ...

Re: Please add NVIDIA T600 Laptop GPU to whitelist

Welcome to Folding@Home! https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/t600.c3796 While not a powerhouse, this GPU meets the prerequisites of 64 bit floating point math and at least OpenCL 1.2 It should perform similar to a GTX 1050, which is capable of completing Work Units on time. I hope they respond soo...
