Retirement of Core15
Vijay posted in his blog over the weekend that Core15 is to be retired, and; " that means that some older GPUs (that are not supported by OpenMM) will no longer be supported by FAH ". So that we can inform our respective teams, do we know what cards that means in practice? (Is there a list...

Re: Best Linux Driver for GTX 1080
I'm running two GTX 1080's under Ubuntu 16.04, using drivers download from the Ubuntu "Graphics Drivers PPA" ( see link ). This allows you to select a driver in the Ubuntu Software & Updates/Additional Drivers section (it's a lot less faff than the .run process). Currently running nVid...

Re: Stats not updating?
Other than this post on the previous page, with the link to the Blog post, what else specifically, were you wanting in regards to feedback? https://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?p=288407#p288407 The blog was the first place I checked prior to adding my post (page one of this thread) - the blog pos...

Re: Stats not updating?
The PG group often talk about wanting to improve communication - here's an opportunity to update the donors on what's going on - it doesn't cost any money, would only take a minute, and it may even keep some of them happy (I have to say 'some' as there's always a few who will never be )

Low PPD on P92xx for Pascal
I'm curious if anyone else has noticed that the P92xx project series works a treat on Maxwell GPU's, but sucks for Pascal GPU's? If I take a snap shot of two GTX 1080 cards working on similar projects; PPD for one card on P9207 is 500k, and PPD for the other on P9209 is 305k. This compares with the ...

Re: Empty work server assigment - [ CPU:11 ]
I have been having a similar problem for a day or so with CPU=22 - not a prime number that I am aware of ... strange that the other CPU set up (set at CPU=24 on the same machine) seems to be fine. Anyone explain that one?! 16:46:15:WU00:FS01:Connecting to 171.67.108.45:8080 16:46:16:WARNING:WU00:FS0...

Re: Nvidia Pascal GPU cards???
Stanford have worked closely with nVidia in the past, though I don't know if that is still the case.
Would be nice to know whether these could be used for Folding on release, or whether months of FAH code development would be needed - I expect the latter.

Re: Any plans to startup Big Adv again? Maybe name different
Most of the 24+ core WU's were generated by Kasson or one of his associates out of his lab, he has lots of projects listed on the project summary using core A3 and A5 that run great on our multi cpu machines but none of his servers currently appear on the server status page Does anyone know what ha...

Re: 171.67.108.*** Problems getting workunits
We're talking about WUs for FahCore_a5. Right? And IIRC, Core_a5 only runs on 86 bit Linux. Right? I think Core_a4 can go up to 24 cores on either 320 or 64-bit Windows Right? We need to be sure the PIs know what server settings should be set. (I think those who supported 32 CPUs have moved on or m...

Re: 171.67.108.*** Problems getting workunits
A couple of us on our team have had the same issue and have reset the CPU count to 24 or less to be able to pick something up.
Looking forward to the return of some more Core A5 based WU's to make the most of high core count Opteron machines.

"Dumping" & "Transfer failed" Errors
I have multiple machines dumping WUs and failing to transfer files - below is a snapshot of one of each from today. Given the number of other people seeing similar issues, there is clearly a serverside issue that needs addressing ASAP. 06:22:13:WU00:FS02:0x18:Completed 15520000 out of 16000000 steps...
