Re: 171.67.108.200 - Internal Server Error
We had an electrical storm (with several brief power outages) which put some of our servers and the Stanford net into a weird state. I think we have the WS’s back in shape, but we’ll keep an eye on this. nothing in the budget for at least some cheap consumer grade line interactive ups's (or some pr...

Re: shortage of small smp wu's?
If the client can't get work, you probably messed with the client proxy or network settings. nope, which is the odd part, because i would normally interpret that as a networking error, but i don't have any fancy configs or anything for networking on this laptop. going into browser works fine and if...

shortage of small smp wu's?
i feel like i posted about this before, but cannot find anything in my post history about it >.> -shrugs- anyway, i have a couple machines that have 2 threads, and are unable to get wus when set to smp:2. i could use nacl but i'd like to save that for last resort since it requires more tending than ...

Re: Nvidia 350.05 with opencl 1.2
Yeah, that is what I was worried about Demonfang - by chance did you notice if it was a new Core Version #? Periodically I delete all my cores, just to make sure there isn't a sneaky core update hiding :D yep, it was on 0.0.3 and after wiping cores folder (since it has a haphazard folder structure)...

Re: Nvidia 350.05 with opencl 1.2
ok, found the issue. new core version works great...after i force the client to download it >.> i think someone somewhere didn't update the WS to trigger downloading a new core version that has the code that looks for newer drivers :!: on that note, getting ~131k on 10477, about 20% below average po...

Re: Nvidia 350.05 with opencl 1.2
Demonfang - if you are referring to the Maxwell OpenCL bug (that required a patch to core 18 so it wouldn't crash on Maxwells, but killed performance), that was fixed in a previous but recent driver and the FahCore was modified to include a check for recent drivers. If new enough drivers are found ...

Re: Nvidia 350.05 with opencl 1.2
As far as your report is concerned, are you implying that 10475 was touched by the applicable bug so you detected that something changed? that was more a quick "i updated to this (from what i can tell alpha) driver version and nothing has broken in the process" (from the little amount of ...

Nvidia 350.xx with opencl 1.2
just came across this today and installed it, sofar nothing appears to have broken from it and gtx960 is chewing through 10475s at same speed as it was before. the big reason for me posting this is to see if anyone over at pande wants to check if the opencl bug has been finally fixed, because regard...

i second this, gets a couple more cores working, and avoids the issues with 20davidcoton wrote:You could also try CPU:16 plus CPU:6. Please post your results -- there is a lack of good quantitative info for this type of tuning.

Re: New Assignment Server feedback/problem
Also note that a change in the server status page this Summer has it just showing Work Servers, not the Assignment Servers. Those IP addresses are for AS's. ah that explains that part of it and sadly i cannot throw nacl at it to fix the issue (chromium apparently doesn't support it, and full chrome...

Re: New Assignment Server feedback/problem
one of my laptops running uni (just because it has nothing better to do) has been running into issues with getting wu's. looking up ip's it keeps directing me to, they don't show up on serverstat page, so something may be out of whack. looking at serverstat page the classic servers aren't really out...

automatic pause on executables
i'm not exactly the greatest when i comes to remembering to unpause f@h after pausing it to play a game, defrag, whatever. i found another thread on this that was similar, but way old and i don't necro things. basically what i'd like to see in v7 is a way to check a list of executables (by name) to ...
