Re: Please add NVIDIA T600 Laptop GPU to whitelist

Welcome to Folding@Home! https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/t600.c3796 While not a powerhouse, this GPU meets the prerequisites of 64 bit floating point math and at least OpenCL 1.2 It should perform similar to a GTX 1050, which is capable of completing Work Units on time. I hope they respond soo...

This may be your CPU.

I am guessing AVX is the fastest floating point math it knows.

No one seems to have any experience with it, so can I recommend the latest drivers right from Nvidia?

Re: Is there a way to limit how intensely a GPU is utilized?

Because the gamers always want maximum frame rate, there is no demand for vendors to add GPU throttling settings, so F@H has no way to reduce usage. We are too small a market.

Re: batch add Advanced control clients

Welcome to Folding@Home! I am having trouble visualizing what you are trying to do: Do you want to pause and unpause CPU or GPU slots? Does your PC actually change number of CPU or GPU slots? Have I completely misunderstood the question? (F@H frowns on silently installing their software on involunta...

Re: changing identity, lost the quantity of the WU i computed ?

Many users have the same name, only the combination of name and pass code is unique.

Re: changing identity, lost the quantity of the WU i computed ?

Points always stay with the name, team, and passcode they were awarded to.

(I am just a user like you, but if you could change who points were awarded to, some one would have stolen all of them by now)

Re: Is there a way to limit how intensely a GPU is utilized?

(I am just a user like you, so don't take my opinion as gospel) Welcome to Folding@Home! Sadly the Operating System does not control the GPU as much as the CPU. In F@H, the GPU is either on or off. Programs like MSI's Afterburner can underclock GPUs as well as overclock them. This will reduce heat, ...

Welcome to Folding@Home! While you will get better help if you start your own thread, rather than ask in an old announcement, the major reason no one can help is not knowing your setup. If you post the first 100 lines or so of you log, it will list your hardware and software setup. Since the instruc...

You have given us nothing to go on, so all I can suggest is uninstalling to save energy. If you wish to continue to fold, read up on items 6 to 8 in this link and send us the first 100 lines in your log. That will tell us much about how your folding is configured now. https://foldingforum.org/viewto...

Re: Jetson Nano 2022

Welcome to Folding@Home! So far as I know all GPU cores are written for x86, so an ARM core would be a major rewrite. As I read promo literature, it does not use a full CUDA implementation. https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/jetson-nano-gpu.c3643 As stated, this hints it 4 times too slow for F@H.

There has not been a new driver since 2017, it is an old architecture, version 1.0 of GCN, introduced in 2012.

Re: Crunching on GPU.

Do you know what card you used to have and what card you have now?

What OS are you using?

I always suggest the latest driver from the vendor (AMD or Nvidia)
