Hi,
That seemed to do the trick. I was folding the last 4 WU's (also Project 2671) without any problems. Thank you all for your time and effort, I appreciate it.

Thank you for your reply. I changed the client as you said and so far it is working. The Fahlog indicates that client 6.24b is used. I'm anxious to see if anything changes. I will keep you posted. # Linux SMP Console Edition ################################################### #######################...

Re: Project: 2671 (Run 40, Clone 60, Gen 29)
I am not sure which kernel is being used for the notfred diskless folding version. Unfortunately I can't check because this folding rig does not have a monitor installed and I am not sure whether I can get this information via network or not. I am pretty sure though that it is not the newest kernel....

Re: Project: 2671 (Run 40, Clone 60, Gen 29)
There is nothing else installed on the flash drives. Since 512Mb easily should do, I don't think size is an issue here. At the moment only about 200MB are in use. Neither it is the brand of the devices. I use only OCZ, Sandisk and Trancend (CF Card). The problem with the 8GB model is the same btw. I...

Re: Project: 2671 (Run 40, Clone 60, Gen 29)
No, the cf card has 2 GB, the usb Sticks 2x2GB and 1x8GB. The 8GB and one of the 2GB models are brandnew. I tried different ones because I've expected them to be the weak link in the chain either. But how I said, the same thing. An installation on a harddrive is not an option for me, because my syst...

Re: Project: 2671 (Run 40, Clone 60, Gen 29)
I'm sorry but I just see Project 2671 in my FahMon, I don't remember ever single run, clone and gen. My system is absolutely stable. I was running the windows smp client on this machine for more than 6 months with little problems (besides the low ppd in comparison with the linux one). I used 3 diffe...

Project: 2671 (Run 40, Clone 60, Gen 29)
I really had enough of this WU. I don't know how many points I have lost over the last weeks. Almost every third WU ends with the same Client-core communications error. Is there anyway to avoid this ?? I'm using the Diskless folder on an usb stick. I know that SMP has still somehow beta status, but ...
