Re: Creation of checkpoints taking over my CPU!
OP, try to lock the GPU folding thread to just one core. Fah core's average CPU use is 14.74%, which is more than one thread (12.5%), because of the sanity checks. So, locking fah core to one thread would slow down folding, by slowing down the sanity checks. Unless the sanity checks run in the back...

Re: Creation of checkpoints taking over my CPU!
To ensure folding has priority. Without Process Lasso, fahcore's had idle or background processor priority, making folding unnecessary slow.
Just remember sanity checks are undocumented, so how would I have adjusted one's system, to account for their effect on the system?

Re: Creation of checkpoints taking over my CPU!
Thanks for letting me know about the sanity check. It would be useful if that was logged, so one knew about it. If a GPU sanity check is causing video playback issues, I have to say that the computer is not fit for FAH. Ha ha! Diagnosing something without any details. Very useful muziqaz! On Windows...

Creation of checkpoints taking over my CPU!
Why is it that my GPU creates a checkpoint every two percent, that requires almost, if not, 100% of my CPU? This makes watching videos painful, as they hang with a loud buzzing sound, while the checkpoint is created. None of my RPI 5's create a single checkpoint. Is it possible to set when a checkpo...

Re: possible memory leak then 'resources not found'
just out of trail and error i used Edge instead of Chrome and "installed" the webinterface-page "as an app" (whatever that does, i think I believe Chrome loads every tab when first opened. If you have a lot of tabs open, that would use a lot of RAM. Firefox only loads a tab when...

That no recommend command might avoid installing another package which deals with Keep Awake option ;) Not for fah-client_8.4.9_arm64.deb nvidia-opencl-icd is the only recommended package You can check all the package install options (Pre-Depends, Depends, Recommends, Suggests, Conflicts, Replaces ...

Re: F@H v8.4.9 for RPi contains NVidia bloatware
It turns out linux installed nvidia-opencl-icd during the fah-client install. That was a whooping 28 packages using 363.2MB in total. Only do this if you DON'T have a NVidia GPU Run sudo apt remove nvidia-opencl-icd --purge -y && sudo apt autoremove -y to remove nvidia-opencl-icd and the oth...

How long is the data about old WU's retained?
How long is the data about old WU's, including those credited, dumped, failed, pause(d) or rejected retained?
I've got 26 days worth of data, which is how long 8.4.9 has been installed on my various machines.
Will it be purged at some stage, or will I need to do that manually if so desired?

Re: Change FAHCore_23 (process) priority in Windows
Process priority on the idle core will not add more usage ... I know all this. But, normally System Idle Process is at more than 80%, so I don't think giving fahcore all the CPU time it wants, will significantly slow down my computer. FAH tasks take highest priority unless there is another high loa...
