Re: Please add ability to change from pause to finish
I used to report every single bug in everything, but nowadays everyone's a beta tester. Well I'm tired of it.

Re: Please add ability to change from pause to finish
I have used github for Boinc and folding. But I'm fed up of talking about things twice.

Re: Please add ability to change from pause to finish
There should be a direct line to suggest things, in here for the public, we don't all want to use the programmer's website. I'll convert my problem into a common one which could happen to the average user: John is going on holiday tomorrow, so he sets folding to finish. The CPU task comes to an end ...

Re: Please add ability to change from pause to finish
Perhaps the admins in here should pass sensible suggestions to the devs after appropriate filtering
Even Boinc now has the programmer reading the main forum.

Re: Please add ability to change from pause to finish
I guess suggesting in here suggestions should be read in here won't be read! In other forums, they have a sub-forum, group, whatever you call it, called "suggestions" and one called "bugs". Those go to the person equipped to deal with them.

Re: Please add ability to change from pause to finish
I made the suggestion, I'm not doing more work for you, I'm not wasting my time going to another site. It should be dealt with here. All it's done is make me dump a number of workunits, not really my problem. And no I don't care about the points, I do it for the science. I was just making a helpful ...

Please add ability to change from pause to finish
Please add ability to change from pause to finish. I had a computer on finish as I'm going to put Boinc on it for a bit. Then I played a game so I paused it. I can't get back to finish without going past play. Which means the finished CPU gets a new task before I can get finish. I wanted to just fin...

Re: Which device are the tasks running on?
If the conversion is still just as efficient as writing it natively, then yes, good idea.

Re: Which device are the tasks running on?
If I was working for a project and I was writing a new program for crowd computing, I'd want to write it only once to save time and money, and get as many volunteers crunching as possible. There are lots of AMDs out there, why would I want to ignore them and get only half the work achieved? I want t...

Re: Whoops, too much CPU, can't get GPU
As I said, I get Tahiti work ALL THE TIME. Look:

This computer does not EVER sit on red even once.

Re: Which device are the tasks running on?
When someone comes to write a new program, they will obviously want to write it only once. So they will obviously choose something which works on as many platforms as possible to get the most work units done. This has to be HIP. Sure, Nvidia will run OpenCL, but apparently not as efficiently.

Re: Whoops, too much CPU, can't get GPU
It's always had 3 GPUs. And you're wrong, the Tahiti gets work all the time, I have loads of Tahitis on other computers, they never ever sit on red with no work, the HAWAII is the one which rarely gets work. These are DIFFERENT GPUs.

Re: Whoops, too much CPU, can't get GPU
Turning off the CPUs in Folding settings also does not work:

Re: Whoops, too much CPU, can't get GPU
Idea failed. I (eventually) managed to turn off the onboard graphics in the BIOS. I had to disable IGPU multimonitor support, which revealed a hidden setting to use PCI express first, which in turn revealed another hidden setting to disable intel GPU. But the same problem exists. I don't know what's...

Re: Which device are the tasks running on?
Because someone like Folding could write in HIP only and not have to bother with AMD/Nvidia considerations.
