Re: ASUS R904 G34
are the CPUs Intel or AMD? 4 sockets, 64 cores : is that 32 cores and 64 threads or 64 physical cores? if AMD, it could be Interlagos (2011) or Abu Dhabi (2012). if Intel, it would have to Haswell generation of Xeon E7 v3 (2015) or more recent. The AMD cores of that era (prior to Zen) were weaker, t...

I did a break out of RTX performance by project
I have one machine with a RX5600 that than ran recent drivers, then I switched maybe a week ago? I will see if I can figure when each driver as applied to do a project breakdown

i did briefly, before going back to 21.3.2, but it will take time for project level stats

RTX 2080 Super vs. 3080 Ti by project
per "advice" from aetch, I made the effort to parse logs, starting with a nVidia RTX 2080 Super , Xeon E3-1245 v5 (Skylake, 3.5GHz, 3.7GHz turbo) Win 10, followed by RTX 3080 Ti on Core i9-10850K (3.6GHz base, typically running at 4.8GHz), Win 10. Parse period is from Aug - present. this i...

Re: Any way to get Navi (Radeon 6xxx) GPUs to perform better
I just switched my 5500 (Win10) and 5600 (Win11) system to 21.3.2. It does seem to be faster based of last run on 21.10.1 vs current run on 21.3.2. Its too bad we don't a record of project + credit + run time for same project comparisons

Re: Any way to get Navi (Radeon 6xxx) GPUs to perform better
sometime last year, there was a big jump in nVidia performance , I don't know if it was with the last release of FaH or something automatic. My 2080 Super were doing about 2.4M PPD before and 3M PPD after. No change for AMD gfx.

i would PPD/$ and and PPD/watt, for simplicity, assume the PC is paid for separately. I am thinking the higher cards actually do better on PPD/watt. PPD/$ could be current market price (ebay) or newegg shuffle price. I will probably try to get a second 3080 Ti when Alder Lake comes out

Re: FAH Overall Rank
I am a bit peeved when my weak systems, cpu or gpu, get a big work unit that times out, I had one time out at 97%. or when my 3080 Ti which can do 5-8M/day gets a series of little work units doing 1M/day. It would nice to have some mechanism to distribute work according to capability, even this has ...

Re: RTX 4090 and 4090Ti showcased and benchmarked :)
sometimes we forget what day it is. in any case, the design should have been a Graphics processing system with a slot to plug in a CPU. In dual/multiple power source arrangements, it is important for all sources to be on common ground. You would think the Europeans would not have much problem with 1...

Re: Failed to create OpenCL context
the i7-11700K, W11, RX5600 system was originally just on integrated graphics (UHD 750), then FaH was installed, running on the CPU. It saw the UHD 750 but did not accept it (FaH does recognize the UHD 630 on the i7-10700). When I first installed the RX 5600, the monitor was still plugged into the iG...
