Ugh. Been there, done that. Thanks to the Sysadmin(s) who had to come in over the New Year's weekend to fix this!kasson wrote:We had to restore a couple files from our regular backups, but everything should be up and running now.

So, do we lose whatever Bonus(es) we would have received for turning in a WU under the time limit because this server isn't available? -------- Queue Dump of Unit at ~/Library/FAH-SMP-Term1 -------- qd released 29 July 2011 (fr 086); qd info 30 August 2011 (update-qd.pl) qd executed Sun Jan 01 10:22...

Re: 171.64.65.54 Failed to send results to work server
Hopefully someone will see this before their New Year's Eve party and bring the server back. Internet-wise, everything looks cool until Traceroute gets inside of Stanford's campus: traceroute to 171.64.65.54 (171.64.65.54), 64 hops max, 52 byte packets 1 aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd (aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd) 2.853 ms 2....

My Mac Pro (twin 2.66 GHz dual-core Xeon CPUs w/10 GB RAM) running OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 has been spinning its multi-core wheels on this WU. Update: It looks like someone at Stanford was up early this morning and read this Forum! My Mac Pro picked up a WU at 13:13:59 UTC. Thank you!

No Work Available (Mac OS X 10.6, SMP2 6.29r3)
My Mac Pro with OS X 10.6.8 and the SMP Client v6.29r3 is reporting that there is no work. My last WU finished up at 4-Nov-2011:11:48:59 UTC and was successfully transmitted at 11:49:47 UTC. After that, however, the Mac Pro has been idle. I tried a reboot, but no joy: -------- FAHlog.txt tail of Uni...

I, too, have a WU that I can't upload to 171.67.108.26:8080. When I try going to the port in Firefox, it just sits there. The Stats pages shows the server as Accepting, but the Net Load is 388. I think 171.67.108.21 needs a Boot to the Head!

Re: Is it just me or are the Stats not updating?
As long as we're still getting WUs to process and Stanford is accepting the results, I'm happy. I know that we'll eventually see a big points surge when it all gets sorted out.

This got loaded on my Mac Mini 1.83 GHz C2D running Leopard 10.5.8. It seemed to not want to get started, but looking at it, something weird was happening when it tried to run. It might be one of the runs only with one FAH_Core process as my CPU meter showed 50% of one core and ~5% of the other core...

kasson, good to know. At 14:00 GMT, my Mac got assigned this WU one last time and has been sitting here waiting for me to fix it. I'm blowing away queue.dat and the Work folder and restarting FAH.
