What I didn't manage using terminal, I simply opened the GUI for the lovely and power FahControl.
In there I :
1: Removed the CPU slot
2: Saved
3: Added a CPU slot
Voila!
Happy folding everyone!

SOLVED: CPU stuck at Ready, waiting for FahCore Run
Hi all! As of last night the CPU folding is not working for me, 2 GPUs working just fine. I'm running Ubuntu and have been trying to kill only the FahCore_a7 process, but not getting any results. Please advice (pasted log example of error below). As a result, my disk is filling up as the following l...

Re: Where do I post a question about missing stats points
Hi Folders! I thought I jump this thread as I stopped receiving points starting this week. That is the points showing up both in the client and in the linked stats pages. Everything else seems fine and here is the log for the latest WU on 1 of tghe GPUs. Config.xml also locking fine and identidy sho...

Agree and I believe the original author of this post thus can set it to solved.

Re: Why are CPU projects worth so few points relative to GPU
Thanks Bruce, that's interesting!
But I guess it's still like ajm says, that you can't decide which WU will be allocated to you?
Happy folding everyone!

Re: Why are CPU projects worth so few points relative to GPU
Not sure I understand your description. But each project has WUs with the same "Base Credit", that indicates its complexity (for the donor). The number of steps is always 100 (ie from 1 to 100%) and your "speed" is expressed as TPF (time per frame, in minutes), and that speed wi...

Re: Why are CPU projects worth so few points relative to GPU
Hi guys I'm wondering if anybody has an idea of the correlation between WU distribution, number of steps per WU, GPU utilization, credits etc. I have two servers equipped with 4 Intel(R) Xeon(R) Platinum 8259CL CPU @ 2.50GHz and 1 NVIDIA Tesla T4 GPU dedicated to F@H. Each WU assigned to the GPUs va...

Yes you are right and good that it will be fixed!Rel25917 wrote:ESC[93m19:25:37:WARNING:WU00:FS00:AS lowered CPUs from 3 to 1ESC[0m
I'm assuming this was the first unit downloaded, there's on old bug that causes the first unit to run on a single core. Future units will run properly.

Re: SOLVED: Only 1 CPU producing
Generally speaking, kills the FahCore_a7 process can result in data loss. Pausing the client should send a signal to stop FahCore_a7 gracefully. It may take a minute or two especially if it is writing a checkpoint. Yes you are right loss occurs, so one has to time it correctly, i.e. right after upl...

Re: Only 1 CPU producing
Solved (again)! Ok so the way to get all 3 CPUs assiged (300% under top) to 1 process instance of FahCore_a7 was to kill the process whilst having a correct config-file. Rebooting was insufficient. Correct config for 3 CPUs and 1 GPU: <slot id='0' type='CPU'/> <slot id='1' type='GPU'/> Command to ki...

Re: Only 1 CPU producing
Thanks for the response! I agree with you and my initial config (the same config I have on the other server where it works fine) was: <!-- Folding Slots --> <slot id='0' type='CPU'/> <slot id='1' type='GPU'/> But then it said: "FS00:Changed SMP threads from 4 to 3 this can cause some work units...

SOLVED: Only 1 CPU producing
Hi all! I just set up an identical g4dn.xlarge AWS Linux server to the one I already have running (4 CPUs and 1 GPU). The problem is that only 100% CPU is running Fahclient on the new server, whilst on the other server 300% is running. The GPU is crunching data but this server seems slower which I b...

One of the server are not even in the serverstats list. It is - but just under a different guise :) ... It is an Assignment Server see … https://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=34034&p=323083&hilit=assignment+server+private+ip#p323085 Ah, I see thanks! Well now I've upgraded from ...
