Re: Any experience using two RTX 2060s on a motherboard?
Well, I started off this subject and now I have two GTX 2060 cards on the motherboard. The mounting bracket didn't fit because one GPU is a 3-slot card -- both would have had to be 2-slot.They're close together and I think that one will run a bit warm despite a new case with a lot of fans. But it al...

Thank you! will have a look.pcwolf wrote:NVidia utility package "nvidia-smi" will give you the ability to tailor GPU watts and fan speed to moderate temperatures. I limit power on the upper card slightly resulting in temps in the middle 70s with no noticeable loss of F@H PPD.

Re: MODS and F@H team: Thank You!
I was contributing with multiple CPUs years ago but eventually quit. It took Covid-19 to bring me back, probably because I'm cheap. I greatly appreciate everyone who helps keep this all running. Just ordered an extra video card...

Re: Stuck at 100% in status "Send"
First time I've encountered this. 0 attempts to upload and time of next attempt is Unknown, GPU results. We'll see if it resolves itself. Latest software. Log doesn't seem to have anything germane in it but will look again. I tried pausing the FAH client and rebooting my Linux box, then restarting ...

Any experience using two RTX 2060s on a motherboard?
I upgraded an old Linux box with a cheap 6-core Ryzen 5 and put a plain RTX 2060 on its motherboard. Runs fine if a bit warm. It'd be a tight fit and I think I'd have to upgrade the power supply (650 watts but only one PCI-E connector, though I suppose a splitter might work), but there's a similar f...

Re: Finally getting WU for GPU but GPU won't work
Thanks. I followed the instructions pretty much slavishly and after a bit of waiting I have both a CPU and a GPU work unit running most of the time with no apparent problems. Exhaust air from top of computer case seems to be keeping under 40C so I think I'm not overheating anything (couldn't get sen...

Re: GPU Won't Get WU
After contributing nothing to F@H for some years, I bought some new parts and upgraded an old Linux box with a 6-core Ryzen 5 and a GTX 2060 card. Seeing as the card is getting no WUs at all and only 10 threads are being run on the Ryzen instead of 12 (in order to tend to the GPU, and not to have th...
